Chipper hoppers feed tray extensions

I bought a chipper for my logging business. Started small with a used Bandit 1890XP. I feed tops with it with my Ponsse forwarder. I would like to extend the hopper to say 8-12'. Anyone done this yet? Any problems? Pics. Thank you.
