I got my bucket truck and chipper back in june, and havent used my dump trailer since. I pretty much run everything thru the chipper now, or cut it up into loadable pieces and just throw them in the back of the truck with the chips. Ive never cut or sold firewood but seeing those pieces of pecan getting thrown in the back of the truck sure is a waste. I own some waste land a couple of miles outside of town and i just drive out there and dump my chips. Heres the question.. you already have hydrualic power on the chipper (w/c 17) with empty space on top of the gas tank and by the clutch handle. How about buy a log splitter cylinder and mount it on the side of the chipper and you could stack atleast a rick on the side of it?? oh yeah i always work alone so another truck there does not help me and where i dump is out of the way to go pick the logs up.
