I am in the market for a chipper. Above a homeowner model, but not a full scale log chipper. I want to chip stuff up to 5", over that I will just cut it to firewood. Mostly just a lot of branches and sticks that I want to get rid of. I have been burning, or stacking in out of the way places, but I really just want to chip it and be done with it.
I will probably go with a PT driven one. I have a 45HP tractor, like not having to tend to another motor, and its easy to move around.

I have looked at the Wallenstein models. Settling on the BX42S It will chip the size I want and has a chute for chip dispersal. The Woods 5000 is cheaper, but there is no chute it just falls out the bottom. It also looks a lot flimsier. The Goosen 8000 looks like a very heavy duty built machine, does exactly what I would want, but is a LOT more $.
Wallenstein BX42s $2687 plus delivery (Self feed $4775)
Woods 5000 $2200 plus delivery
Goosen CS5400 $3783, chute extra

I am not really considering the DR or other small <20 HP driven models. I want something that is going to work, not sit and make noise all day while I stand there waiting for it to finish eating a stick of wood.

Any other suggestions or models out there? I have tried finding a used one and they are pretty scarce unless you want a big tow behind model.

TIA
