My order of a pair of Pfanner chainsaw pants and Viberg linesman's boots arrived today. Man I felt like a kid at Christmas opening the box. I can't wait to give them a try.

You get the gladiator's? I'm jealous, bro. Those things look nice, but yeouch!, what a price tag! Let me know how you like them. Are they as flexible/durable as they say?

Blakesmaster,

They are not Pfanner Gladiators, but Pfanner Quick Stop pants. Very similar. Chainsaw protection on front rated to 3600 ft/min. The only differance is that it does not have the felling wedge pocket, but a pocket for your cell phone instead. Yes, they also have the steep price. - I bought the grey pair.

I found climbing in Stihl chainsaw pants a little uncomfortable and a few weeks ago was climbing without them when, I touched my left knee with the chainsaw. -A first and hopefully last occasion. I got lucky and did not go into the kneecap or any tendons or ligaments.

From what I've heard about these pants, they are comfortable. I won't be able to try them out for a few weeks (other commitments), but hopefully they live up to the hype. With the weather we've been having it will be quite some time before I get to try them in any heat. I'll let you know how they work out.

If they are as good as they say they are, then they will be worth the $$$$. - I could have lost a lot more than the price of a pair of expensive pants.
