Clean crankcase

I have a Stihl 066 and 064 that I am doing a complete rebuild on and am wanting to put the split crankcases into my ultrasonic cleaner to get them as clean as possible. I have them stipped down to just the case halfs and just want to make sure that cleaning them this way will not damage them. Also suggestions on what solution to clean them with. Thanks.

just use some Dawn and water and you should have no issues with even fading the paint
you must have a good sized tank Mine's pretty small

Thanks. Yeah I got lucky got a 2 gallon one at a thrift shop for $30 its a medical grade one. I thought my small harbor freight one got carbs clean.
