Dennis- Can you post all info here so we know where to find it? Or if you have posted already let us know where to go. Bill Jr

Clearwater 04

hotels, golf, you know the important stuff, liquor store location in relation to hotel/ party location.

Clearwater Revival 2004

Bill Jr., and others asking...tentative dates for the show are July 10/11. Once again the Wells Gray Hotel will be offering special room rates for the loggers sports.(of which I will get rates soon) As well, The WG Hotel is the bar/party location...which is about 5 minutes from my house, or 345.00cdn. As for driving up Bill, you will probably just convoy with Robert....he knows the way...

Rotax and I typically go golfing on the following Monday at the Wells Gray Golf Resort....as for fishing and such, email me and let me know what you want to do, and I can locate the appropriate people...

I will be marking my those days off as well. I'll bring a my R2100 and my 2186G. Hey Dennis could you post the hotel where everyone will be staying please. I wouldn't want to miss any of the fireworks.

While your at it set me up with a guide to do a little fishing for a few days. July 12th-15th and cabin. Let me know what the price is and I will drop a check in mail. If anyone else wants to do a little fishing don't hold back, we can have the AS tournement. We can see who's the best fisheman and the biggest BS'ER.

Good thing you brought up the golf I happen to love being out on the links. Maybe we can set up a few squads to play a round or two.

Here is a photo of the local peace keeper up there in Clearwater. What are you paying these guys Dennis, Gummy worms?

Clearwater 04 trip

Dennis- do you know what the toll is on BC 5 from Hope to Merritt? just trying to get things ironed out good and early. Do they accept american money at the toll both? or will I need to do an exchange for tolls hotel and fuel? Bill Jr

Bill,

I've driven the Coquihalla 3 or 4 times in the last 3 years. If I recall correctly, the toll is $10 Cdn. And I'm sure they'll take our $.

It is a cool drive, great scenery, especially in winter. I once did it in my Toyota 4wd, a light little wanna be twuck, and not real stable at high speed in 2 wheel drive. I was in a hurry to meet a chairlift ride time deadline at Sun Peaks for a moonlight dinner, paid for by the ski area, and I made the trip from Shoreline in record time...for a puny 4 banger that barely makes 40 mph on the many big hills. But 80-90 on the downhill grades made for some white knuckle time..with the flakes a flyin'.

I just got confirmation on V6Bill and Maggiesboy showing up with 3 big saws to the Clearwater show...
American Maid -V6 nitrous
Secret Squirrel -V8
Old Les -V8

Looks like its going to be a good shootout with Rotax's Predator!!

Hopefully we will have a good AS member turnout as well!!

Anyone having any questions can feel free to email me or call me(if you can get hold of me...lol)

Hi Maggiesboy, in 1997, I think it was, I cycled over the Cokahalla, but didn't make it to Hope, had to sleep outside on frozen ground near the summit. Will never forget that trip. I think it was 120K or so.

Hi Ed, Clearwater is some 500miles East of Van. 350 miles west of Jasper Alta., and about 200 miles South from Prince George B.C. and 45 minutes from Kamloops, or in Rotax's terms: 250$ from the Wells Gray Motel.
John

Hi Ed, there is a dude on here named Brian- aka- Rocky J Squirrel, who is probably just acheing to jump all over you for typing in all capital letters- says it is yelling, but please yell on, everyone is listening.

OK you two, clean that goo off your caps lock key, eh?

John, Clearwater is more like 275 miles from Vancouver, if I recall. I think I've made the trip in well under 6 hours from Seattle.

Hey Rog...thanks for clearing that up...yep...its about 500km from Van...or 5 hours...1.5 hours from Kamloops...also 1.5 hours from Sun Peaks ski resort which happened to be a free day today....but I think that only applied to one plankers....

How is that cd coming from last year...
