I'm getting ready to purcase a new set of climbers. I would like to hear some feed back on these two sets of climbers. How are the Geckos Two by distel compared to the T2 Titanium Climbers by Buickingham. I know these are two different styles of climbers, but I've read up on both. I've climbed on a pair of T2's and loved them, but I'm kind of interested in the Geckos. I like the off set on the spur. To me it tends to reduce the stress on your ankles. I know that distel had problems with the first Geckos they introduced in the United States. From what I understand the've fixed it to exceed the ASTM standards. I'd like to hear what those of you who use T2's or Geckos truly think about the about the performance. Thanks, BB

I have the T2's , w/ the shorter pole spikes., we don't have alot of thick barked trees here. I love them!
Personally, i think they'll last much longer than the Gecko's, the G's seem nice and i'm sure they are, but, there is alot of things to wear out eventually.

Other than T2's, the bashlin's are the best in my opinon. I've climbed on a pair a few times and they're pretty slick, nice and light also.

I'm not sure how the new gaffs trade out on the Bashlins but the new setrup for buckingham on the Titanium cant be beat, one could own one pair of irons and switch between pole/tb gaffs in about 10 minutes, save 250.00 on another set of gaffs. Even out West I rarely use my long gaffs, especially in the urban environment, pole/utility gaffs are just fine.
