Hi Guys

I have just moved over to BC Canada from the UK and I am trying to replace most of my ageing climbing gear which I got rid of back in the UK. I have done a bit of research and I have not come with a great deal of results other than Treestuff and Sherrilltree which are in the US. Anybody have any suggestions other than the 2 companies mentioned?

Thanks in advance

I second Wesspur!
Excellent customer service, who know their stuff and fast shipping!
Haven't dealt with treestuff yet but I hear they are pretty good also.

Thanks guys!

I see both of you are based in the US and unlikely to help but I shall put it out there! Anybody had any experience with gear being shipped over from the US to Canada and the associated costs with customs? I'm starting to think I should have bought new gear in UK and put it in my shipment container with all my household goods.

Customs costs can minimized by keeping purchase totals reasonably small ie. < $400, and having goods shipped by USPS instead of by courier. I source almost all my tree gear from TreeStuff and WesSpur. Both have been excellent companies to deal with.

Universal Field Supplies or Shepards Utilities, but both are in Ontario. Treestuff is amazing, but you will end up paying duties.

A search on google brought up Pacificarborist.com based out of North Vancouver. Not sure how close that would be to you.

Thanks guys I was going to buy all my gear in one go with a approx value of $1100 Cad, so may revise my decision! I have had a look at Pacific Arborist and they are limited to what they offer so guess I'm going to buy what I can from them then get the rest from Wespur or Treestuff. All the response's are much appreciated.
