EDIT: sorry, thats for RECREATIONAL, ground up climbing. when aloft i carry everything on my harnness, UNLESS i'm climbing in an area where the many thieves can nab my gear... then it all goes aloft and hangs in the tree. for work i esimate about 30 LBS
