So I am trying to diagnose a coil of an HS80 hedge trimmer. This is a non oem replacement that I believe failed after about 30 mins of use.
Testing with a meter set on 20k ohms.
Results on primary = 3.04
Results on secondary = 3.4
NO spark at all.
For ***** i put the meter in the boot and pulled the motor and on voltage I get only maybe 25v when pulled.
DEAD coil??? Somewhere I read said if meter reads anywhere from 2.5-5k im good as long as not 0?
Experts way please.
Coil is Stihl 4137 400 1350
Anyone have one second hand?
