Do any of you who are self-employed find time to operate your business and go to school also? I'd like to finish my BS in Forestry, but I don't want to put my business plans on hold either. I think I could work out time for 1 or 2 lectures per week, but fitting in labs is going to prove difficult.

I've taken and taught courses while opperating a business, and yes scheduling can be a pain. The key for me was to find work that was close to school so travel was less of a problem. having a helper who could work alone for a while is also good, or else have your client be your helper.

Also give your clients a loose ETA, like "after 10 a.m." instead of "at..." gives you needed flexibility. Smart of you to pursue the real world while finishing the unreal world of academe'

Its possible and profitable.

I am a fulltime college student, and manage my buisness. Its not a full time buisness, but we do a good bit of work.

My schedule for next semester is 3 days a week, should help the biz some. Two days a week (being full time) would be awesome but unlikely.

I go every Thursday night 6pm to 9pm and every Friday fortnight.

In addition I've done some weekenders plus you have to do your assignments.

I just consider it most improtant, it becomes priority number one, then everything else falls into place.

He lives on campus, too, which ain't a free ride from my experience!

I have class 4 nights a week from 5:30-8:10 with a substantial amount of outside group work visiting companies like Miller Brewing, etc. No samples. :( I'm out for the semester and need the break until the fall!

Yeah Butch, no doubt it makes it tons easier. Less to think about for sure.

I had a dorm last semester but I am most likely gonna commute this semester. I didnt spend much time in the dorm as it was, but I did like having the dorm, made somethings easier. I will decide later this summer. Looks like I am gonna take 9 hours online this summer.

I would have to say, make time tex, thats if at all possible. I study full time 3 days and usually work all the other days. Its all good but i make study the priority to get it out of the way.
