I am possibly moving down to the tri state area (Westchester, Bergin, Rockland,Orange or Fairfield) and am looking for reccomendations of quality full service tree/ landscape companies in that area. Obviosuly there will eb tons of companies but I am looking for high end, full service commercial arboriculture/landscape firm. Maitenence doesnt intrest me a bit and typically companies of this quality could never comepete with Joe schmoe landscaper/treeman/leafblower/grasscutter anyway. I am not tied to one spot by any means, I am just trying to get a feel for some quality companies to get in contact with.

Clarification

when I say commercial arborculture I mean the science of arborculture. Regardless of whether it is on commercial or residential job sites. I am suprised that nobody ahs any reccomendations. SOme of you guys must know some reputable tree care companies in that area. Some may even work for them

Heloooooooooooo

THese counties are located in Northern New Jersey,Southwestern Conneticut, and Southern NY. Basically all surrouding NYC.

Why not go to the TCIA or ISA website and search for companies with certification. They will most likely meet some if not all your goals.

I consider myself "quality" on my way to top tier service once I am over all the hurdles.

But I am not in your area. Not all the little guys are hacks so do not rule them out. They may be looking for someone just like you who will be the focal point of their "quality" service. If my business gets big enough to hire someone already certified in the areas we need before I manage to complete my own then I would certainly hire them. It would only compliment my already good reputation for quality services.

Leaving

Well I really really dont want to leave..
But my gf is from NY, and has to find a job down there etc...hopefully I can lure her back northward to the bean as time goes on.

Move to Brighton, you can't even walk down the street without bumping into a hottie.......................:)

Im a climber for Holly Tree Service, based out of Greenwood Lake NY. Great guy to work for, not a huge company, usually 2 crews and a guy who goes out and sprays. Ive heard mixed things about Ira Wickes, both good and bad. I know they have had a ad in the local paper up here for Climber/forman. There are also a few other companys in the area that seem to be top notch companies including Canadian Tree Service, Gilmore Tree, and a few others. Orange County isnt a bad place either to live, some real nice towns.
