Just had to share this one.. from a google review.. I laughed so hard I almost cried..

I had heard some not so great things about this company in the past, but I wanted to support a local business, so I hired W_rd Landscaping. After hearing the ridiculous price just to remove a tree, my husband calmed me down and he decided to pay the price to get the job done as soon as possible because we needed the tree down. And he really paid the price! After waiting five days for people to finally come to the house, the nightmare began. Debris from the tree cluttered our back deck and clogged the drains, the workers littered my yard with their garbage, and the workers were VERY innappropriate. They made rude, sexual gestures to my 15-year-old daughter and me, and one was caught sleeping on our patio. When my husband called and complained and talked to Tom W_rd himself, Mr. W_rd cursed and yelled at my husband, asking him "Well, what did you expect from a bunch of Mexicans?" We were horrified! And the worst part was, they were there for 9 hours and didn't finish the job. We paid Tom W_rd anyway, just to avoid anymore drama, and my husband and his brother finished the job themselves. This was hands down the WORST service I have ever received from a company. Steer clear!

It is Sad but their is to many that are like that. You would love to see what we have here in Hot Springs Arkansas, they still advertise Topping. We have 2 or 3 Chippers in town(Brush truck) ot a pile and burn itor just let it rot

Thats funny Murph!...But, they got what they paid for, maybe home owners will wake up & realize cheap aint the best!

"sexual gestures toward their 15 yr old daughter" LMFAO...can you imagine that?

I would have got a little retribution for the Alamo in one afternoon by kicking the #### out of some Mexicans

Wassup Murph any new videos?

That isn't fair to the homeowner. They didn't go for cheap, they paid a high price for what they thought would be good service.

Now that they know about the tree industry, they will get multiple quotes and check out references next time. That's ok. The charlatans will always be out there, no matter what industry is involved. Some have more than others though...

try reading that to your crew and see if you can finish it without everyone breaking into laughter... Like the guy said.. that's tree work... what do you expect?

LOL

Sorry, but to me this sounds like a planted review to smear a competitor. It just has that "fishy" tone to it. In these days of easily posted internet "reviews," I have found that unless a moderator is present to verify the veracity of statements/charges made, the review is not worth a :censored:

Good point Sunrise.

It is sort of hard to believe that any company could be quite that bad. The owner statements are particularly hard to believe, aren't they?

Even the worst dirt-bag contractors I have ever heard about will lie to the customer and swear they are going to fire an offensive employee. After all, you don't just PO a good paying customer for no good reason.

It is a good possibility that it is just a smear campaign by the competition but if you really break it down the whole complaint isnt that bad. Just a few of the points are unreasonable.

After waiting five days for people to finally come to the house, the nightmare began

Small tree company taking 5 days to come out, bad business but during busy season for a small company not unreasonable.

Debris from the tree cluttered our back deck and clogged the drains, the workers littered my yard with their garbage

From the sound of it they were only there one day a few hour, some crews that are highly officiant may clear debris as soon as it hits the ground but for most I wouldnt think it unusual for them to get behind a little. As long as when the job is done its gone and the yard looks as good or better then it did before (depending on how the job was quoted of course)

the workers were VERY inappropriate. They made rude, sexual gestures to my 15-year-old daughter and me, and one was caught sleeping on our patio

Now these are the two I couldnt dismiss as a HO or as a boss. If I was the homeowner and that was my daughter you would prolly find the rest of the crew up the tree with the climber, like a bear being chased by a couple of prize hounds. The guy sleeping on the deck prolly get an ear full. But either way the crew would be gone of my property fast.

All and all though it does kinda have a BS ring to it

I was just talking with a guy who said he did a TD ( no clean up) for some people and they went and smashed up a bunch of stuff and blamed it on him.
I did a job for a guy I got from Service Magic and he puts up a rating on me. He did give me a high rating but mentioned something how I just left the wood in piles by the stumps and he had to move it himself. Of course that would coincide with what was written on my proposal, " leave wood in piles by stumps"
I don't know who in thier right mind would gesticulate at a 15 year old girl. But Hell, I was on a job with Murhpy once and Pat just decides to dump this big old oak limb right on the roof. THUD! I wasn't gonna try to pull it off cause I thought it would bring the gutter down. And so what if the crew catches Z's on the patio at lunch?

sleeping on someones deck to me is disrespecting the home owner, if you want to sleep at lunch go in one of your vehicles or out under a tree away from the house at least. Tree workers have a bad enough rep as it is you dont need them passing out all over the place like its a flop house.

Man, you need to take a walk around the block. Cause , baby, you ain't seen nothing yet.

So I followed the chipper down to this job, I thought I smelled clutch on the way down and when we got there I realized they had driven 40 mins to the job with the chipper running, clutch engaged and a log jamming the disc.
I had allready drove into the yard and got out and started making oatmeal when all these new guinea chickens came through. Someone comes up to me and starts crying how one of the guys killed one with a rake. I am thinking " how droll"
I happening to glance over at the neighbors house at a big picture window. There was a woman in the window, she was waving frantically and pointing. I thought it surreal the fact that I could see she was screaming but couldn't hear it and was thankful for that.
I looked in the direction in which she was pointing and there was Roy. He was standing next to a tree in front on this big picture window which contained this screaming woman. I saw Roy and I saw his penis. The woman in the widow also saw his penis. He was just letting it all hang out.
There were plenty of spots to take a leak, he could have climbed inthe back of the truck but he didn't.
So everybody jumps back into the truck and goes to lunch leaving me with a fresh pot of oatmeal, a newbie and the husband of the woman in the big picture window bearing down on me.
Oh well, what can ya do? You can't please everybody huh? I just explained that I was The Dan, that I was like an island but with the abilty to move. I explained it wasn't my penis and everything.

I know what you mean. I could show and tell you folks things that some of my "competition" has done around here that would blow you away. In every category too from chemical application to tree planting and everything in between.
