Last week I want to the Western ISA tree championships in San Diego, Ca. To make a long story short, I want to maybe compete in the footlock.
My question is: The lanyard they use to tie the prussic knot, is it a regulation size and length? I want to start practicing. I've always fancied my self a good footlocker, and Screw that,"Old timers," class. I'm 52, look out youngsters. beastmaster

There is no "regulation" for size (should be smaller diameter than rope climbing on)and length (adujusted for climber height). In competition they climb on a double 1/2" or 7/16" (climbers choice) line and the prusik has to be a three wrap. Prusik cord can be spliced or tied out of Ultra-Tech, Beeline, etc. and meet the judges inspection.

Go gett'um Beast.
