Looking at buying a used 066 and was wondering what would be considered proper compression for a used, but supposedly in good shape 066? What compression range would you consider buying a used 066 with? Looking at buying this saw to use for milling with an alaskan mill.

Thanks

Tom

For milling it better be in the neighborhood of 145-150 psi to give you a decent service life. A falling and bucking saw can get by with compression as low as 125psi. Milling takes all the power an engine is capable of producing.
