Once your pics are resized somewhere on your own pc (ie. if you have PhotoShop etc. choose 'save as' and re-save them as a JPEG, generally this will bring them down to a usable size, around 150kb or less. When you bring up the window for posting click on the paperclip icon, this will bring up another window, choose 'Browse' and this will allow you to access your files, find the pic you want and highlight it, then click 'open' or 'open file', X out of there and go back to the attachment window, the URL should be there then, l-click on 'upload file' and wait, when it is done you'll see your pictures URL just below that. To imbed the picture into your post r-click on the URL and go down the list to 'properties' and l-click, then highlight (hold the L button down and drag it through the addy, it'll turn it blue) the addy (the part with "http//:blah blah blah" in it) and with your cursor still in the box on the blue part r-click and l-click 'copy', then X out of there and go back to your post, find the little picture of mountain icon and l-click on it, this will bring up a small window with a highlighted 'http//' in it, hit delete to get rid of that and r-click and then l-click 'paste' your copied URL in there and hit OK, this will put an addy into your post that has image tags around it ({image}http//blah blahURL{/image} ), your good ta go from there. If you are doing multiple images its really good to learn to resize them to 300 or less kbs, and there is a limit I believe of around 3mb for each post (iow if your pics are really big you'll get less in there, if they are resized you could fit several). Resizing your images is not only good for the AS server but also for anyone on dial-up attempting to view your post, personally it can take up to 10mins to open pics nearing 1Mb, where one re-sized to say 50Kb will take several seconds.
I'm really beat right now I hope this makes sense, I'll check in the morning and ammend if needed, sry if its still confusin'. *sigh* :jester:
