Before I found this site I couldn't even spell 'Stihl' and now I have 3 of them! My collection now consists of an 066, 026, and a soon to be delivered 361 (and an ancient Husky 65, but that doesn't really count). Funny how I didn't even know I needed these saws before. I blame you guys! Seriously though, I really have enjoyed using the 066 for falling and milling and the 026 is just the ticket for trail clearing (plus it is light enough for my wife to use). I have read so many good reports about the 361 I can't wait to get my hands on it.

Best of the season all.

Thanks! I have yet to try the 361 and I sure am looking forward to getting it in my hands. I forgot to mention that I have less than $1000 Cdn invested in my 'collection' so I think I am doing OK.

Am I normal

Ive always liked chainsaws but since Ive found this site I now have this compulsion to fill my saw line up with at least 1 of each series still. IE ms180,260 361,440,056,660 maybe even a big bull 880. My 044 will take care of most of my needs. This morning in 42" maple a little more power and full comp chain would have been nice. Keep telling my wife how cool it would be to have an 880 with a 60" bar sitting in the back of the truck while she uses the 260 0n some 16'' logs. Rational thinking isn't it. I know I don't have a problem,no way, I'm sane i tell ya.:dizzy:

Thank goodness I look at chainsaws as tools, not toys to collect. I can't afford another expensive hobby!

I think it may have something to do with the hard labor associated with using a chainsaw. :D

Running a chain saw is one of the few hard labors I enjoy makes me feel old school when men were tough not pussies. My granddad logged for 40 tough years yet in his 80s he would still run an 045 for the " fun of it". Saw work gives me a real sense of accomplishment and I have had the 30-40 hour saw weeks and know how tired you get after wrastlin saws for 8 hours in the rain and cold.

I used to think of chainsaws as just a tool too. After reading and interacting here for awhile I have urges to acquire more. Always seems like there is a gap needing filling in my line up. You guys are a bunch of enablers. :chainsaw: :greenchainsaw:

Ya its a bad addiction!!! Am off this week so went to see if some tiller parts were in yet at the saw store, just had to fondle a 064 ($450)to see what it felt like, brain says get out of this store before you buy it!!! Then into the pawn shop there is a 385XPG, picked it up gave a few pulls, very tempting at $450, but too much saw for me, sure felt good!!!! Like I need another saw!!!!! This site makes it very bad, but fun!!! :)
