I got an email from him the other day, he is taking a training position with one of the big players in the rocky mountains.

have fun Tom, we'll miss you at the WAA conferances!

What do I have to do to keep my visitor's permit for Wisconsin valid? Eat cheese? Cheer for d' Pack?

As soon as I can wrap things up here I'll be starting with Swingle Tree and Lawn Care.

Sounds great Tom. Exciting too.

Denver is great. Lots to do. I am jealous.

I think you have the right idea, find a job, then move. Why didn't I think of that:rolleyes:

Actually, things are going smooth thanks to contacts you helped me establish.

Thanks and best of luck to you!!!!!!

Let me know when the house warming party is:blob2:

Sounds like Swingle deserves the congratulations:D
Wish I could have started with a company that had Tom as a trainer.

I thought Tom was traning either rescue personell, or a ski patrol. I misunderstood and thought Tom was getting into corporate training of a mountaineering school or something of the like. Perhaps I was only projecting what I thought Tom would be good at. Tom you teach new companies how to cut?
Impressive. Do you teach them how to advertise and help them get a tree ordinance?

With spring popping out here in the Cities, I've been getting calls from my regular clients. I'm hoping to find a way to sell the company. There are enough people who have grown to depend on good work that it would be a great start up or additional crew for an existing company.

Since I've done just about everything that I ever wanted to do with Canopy, I look at this like the start of my fourth career. Student/rookie, hack [during my Evil Tom days], arborist and now education full time.

I'm giving up flexibility but gaining a lot more. Always trade-offs in life.

I'll be looking forward to meeing some of the AS and TB gand at the Rocky Mountain Chapter Tree Climbing Championships.
