I had the same experiance in Tulsa, the "good jobs" dried up in a matter of weeks, if not days.

I know a FEMA contractor who is looking for bucket operators in lower LA. Not sure the cities they are in, but it is public ROW hanger and leaner work.

Good people to work with.

american disaster is here in the beaumont/houston area paying $27 a tree for bucket trucks. they supposedly have multi- county work, and say 100-200 trees a day possible. saw em on craigslist.

lot of work left here, ( hangers, busted trees, panic mode homeowners, etc...) but Texas insurance companies are the slowest I've ever seen.
most of the travellers have left.
I have a local tree company to work with, though. the guys I started with washed out.:censored:

100-200 trees a day??? that has to be wrong!! no way! even with a bucket not possible!

LXT...........

in a park setting, lots of marked trees, adjacent to each other? 1-5 hangers? I could see a hundred, and that's what the guy on the phone had said was practical. but dang, that's still a lot of hustle.:dizzy:

That is just more of this Texas bullsh!t. Almost every thing down here is based on bullsh1t.

I must charge too much. and SE Texas is cheeeeeeeeeaaaap.

was it an accident?
I intentionally cut maybe 5' off. with my gerber, while at the top of that pine.
and only after my saw, not me, nicked the rope in a most heinous fashion.
my fractured ribs should not have interfered, on account of the lorcet.:dizzy:

I do feel bad about that, though, I certainly despoiled that virgin rope.

I owe ya one, and running your saws was like being a kid at x-mas again. they are HOT.
Meeting you and Jody certainly made up for the headaches I started with.
lets post some pics of that nightmare pine you took.
