I was wanting to compare prices for removals and see how much someone else would charge for the removal! The cottonwood is about 40' tall and the DBH is about 24". The price is for the removal, hauling off the brush and grinding the stump.

location really dictates the price.....there is no way you could get the same price for a tree in texas as i get i new york......there is a huge price difference from borough to borough in new york city.....last week i did a 2000.00 removal in an hour......11 miles away over a bridge a 2000.00 removal is almost an all day job.

you can only concern yourself with what the guys in your back yard are getting, not half way across the country.

If its only over a house, flop it and be done in a coupla hours. 500 bucks.

Really dude, how do you expect any form of any real price over the net? Your about as vauge as Clinton talking about the scandals with Monica.

any jobs worth as much as you can get.PERIOD sounds like a 600-1500 there all the same.

Send me 5 grand and a few pictures and I will talk you through getting it down from here. If there is any $$ left over upon completion I will send it back to you. :)

right on,ill organise it from here for 1k

Here's the deal:

For $50 and case of cold beer, Bubba and I will come over and take 'er down and cut it into firewood. Then you call my nephew Melvin. For $25 and a six-pack, he will come over and chip the branches with his brush hog.

You sell the firewood for $200 a cord and make a nice little profit.

Don't be sucked in by the so-called professionals with their fancy business cards and yellow helmets. Just call me, Bubba, and Melvin -- quality tree care for over a fiftieth of a century!

I did one the other day that sounds similar to what your saying. That plus one more beside it I did for $1,000, took me and one guy 8 hours with no chipper and a half ton. Now keep in mind that we where leaving any logs over 4" and only cutting them small enough for one person to handle them and fit in a truck box.

Don't dink around with these guys. For $4,978.57 I'll come and DO the job. You can watch me, film the operation and submit the video to America's Funniest Home Videos. I do want 49.2% of the video rights though.

Or a better example would be Georgie Boy talking about WMD's. Oh, wait, he stopped talking about those didn't he? :p  Ljack it's bad enough that you wear your political naivete' on your sig, but when it gets into posts you are inviting payback in real time.

re Cottonwood, if there's room to flop it away from the barn, <$2k for OK. Of course I've never been to that part of OK(long way from Lubbock ain't it--factor in drive time then), which shows to go ya the value of internet advice with no pics or nothin. Why not pm Mr. Starks?

Nothing naive about my sig in referance to God and Bush/Chenny. :)

Politics is opinions, facts, and lies. Christianity is cut and dried.

If you are unsure about the price, maybe you should cut a little more wood to get an idea of the work involved, its difficult to charge enough for lack of experience. Oh little lumberjack, the Bible is a nice story, thats it. I wouldnt go so far as fact, a method of governing the simple surely, many cultures have found many stories for just that. :umpkin:
