I went to a Sawmill clearance auction last week where they had some scraggy looking packs of timber and lots of junk.

Two of the bigger pieces of gear there were these two mills.

A FORESTER MOBILE BANDSAW 3CYLINDER LISTER - PETTER DIESEL MOTOR ~3,000HRS.
APPROX 5.5M X 850MM BED.
It looked like it had a hard life and "NEEDED SOME (a lot! of) WORK" - it went for $3.5k - probably a fair price.

The second one was swing saw LEWISAW 8.4M X 1.9M WIDE Bed, 18HP VANGUARD PETROL MOTOR.
Also well used - it went for $8k which I thought was a bit much.

Sorry the photos are not much good.

There was also a Wood Wizz type slab surfacer complete with dust extraction but I diid not take a photo opt it.
That was in good condition and went for $4k which was probably a fair price. I know the guy that bought this and he is going to fully automate it using CNC type controls.
