I'm working on a husky 394 and the case is cracked near the clutch. The pics will describe location better than I can. I'm wondering if I should start looking for a new case or just run it this way. I'm just thinking about any safety issues with the chain jumping off the sprocket. (Tank was already repaired once, I assume from a chain being thrown) Let me know what you think.

You still run your saw this way,but the saw wil more "loose" because there is one shock missing at the bottom of the case. And if you thorw a chain,it will be probably bye bye for the tank. Also you gonna get more sawdust in the face i guess.Better look for a used one maybe.
