Well, finally got my 346xp in and run a tank in it to see what she'd do and I am impressed. I am used to the older, larger saws w/more torque so there is a learning curve here when cutting w/it. I will achieve a break in then its off to the "pimp my ride" boys to get pimped. I can't wait to try my hand at yet another hobby w/a black hole for a money pit :help: Oh well, it sure does entertain

The first thing I would do like others have said but a little different. Make about a 3/4" by 1" hole where the front plate attaches to the muffler through the muffler and the plate. Then go in and grind out the baffles and the pipe that connects to the upper outlet you will have to go in from the exhaust port side and the external side to get it but it's worth it. After that reassemble saw and put some stainless screen between the plate and the muffler to cover the hole. Now you have a non cat muffler and a dual port for just a little time and even less money. Congrats on a great saw I've seen what they can do modded and they are impressive for there size.

Can you buy this muffler w/this procedure already done from a builder or supplier?

I'm not sure on that but I would bet that if you couldn't you could send yours to one to have it done. It's a relatively simply procedure.
