I got two of these fine saws, both of them will not idle cold no matter how i set the L screw. Also bogs on giving it throttle. This cleans up

if I cut a few small limbs first not allowing it to idle and die.

I have the H set pretty good. Cleans up at cuts hard with bar buried.

Any advice ?

Thanks

The only manual I have seen is for the service data with carb settings.

Is the fast idle working on the carb?
When cold starting pull with choke on until it kicks then push the choke in, dont touch the throttle and pull it until it starts, if you give it any throttle it's not on fast idle anymore and wont idle cold. You can put it on fast idle by putting the choke on then off for restarts too if need be.
It should be revving pretty good on a cold start.

Eric. I start it using the method you outlined. It's just that all my other Echos will idle cold immediately after fast idle is removed.

No biggie I guess. Love the saw. It cuts like a demon for its weight.

Trouble was the idle was too low. If I tuned L for good throttle it would stall. So I ran the idle up and tuned for good throttle response and it worked out fine.

Thanks
