Connecticut people if your not a CPTA member or did not read the January flyer they have a good explanation of the wrongly per-sieved relaxation of the arborist license requirement for pruning for storm damage. The long and short of it is a letter from the Commissioner of DEP stating that it is not considered arborculture to remove any damaged limb 2" or larger that is hazardous to people, cars, buildings ETC.. and it can be removed back to the branch union by a non licensed person. Many of you may already know this but it is often a point of confusion and DEP never makes it easy to get an answer on certain issues this is one of them.
