How much do timber fallers earn (gross) in a good year? Do any of you also have benefits like company health insurance, 401k, etc.

I'm nearing retirement and have no interest in doing that sort of work but I'm curious. I think you folks really have to love what you are doing.

Yep. You gotta love it.

Ya you need to want to do it . A faller grossing 270$ a day . Working 25 days a month for 9 months will take home around 40 K $ . Then you need to buy your saws , bars , chain corks ect. So averaged to 12 months .
You have about 3 grand a month .
