Here’s the scenario, you get to choose a saw in every class, instead of using engine size we’ll go with bar size.
The idea is you have a saw for every bar size and never have to change bars, 2” increments from 10” to 20” then 4” increments above 20”.
A couple of catches, they have to be current models you can buy from a dealer in 2017 and stock only. I know some of you can’t do stock or really love an older model, so you can add your all-time or ported favourites (in brackets).
The idea is you have to select what YOU THINK is the class leader and would like to have.
Here’s my pick;
10”: Echo CS2511 TES
12”: Stihl 201 cm
14”: Sthil 241 cm
16”: Stihl 261 cm
18”: Dolmar 6100
20” Husky 372 xp
24” Makita 7901
28” Husky 390 xp
32” Stihl 661 cm
36” Husky 395 xp
40” Plus: Stihl 880
