I mostly lurk here just reading and taking in all the advice that is given, Saturday I put some of it to use. Had a red oak at our cabin that died about 3 years ago and finally got the balls to cut it down. It had one large branch going the opposite way I wanted the drop it, but using wedges, after learning about them & how to use them here I dropped it nearly perfect- it scraped a tree I wanted to leave, but other than went great.

Here is my cut that felled the tree.

My 361 that I used the drop it, just long enough.

The tree was about 18x20 dia. where I cut it at.

Ya, I was a little worried at first, I had the wedges pounded up the the head and the tree just sat there. So I had to double up a couple and got it to go over

Even if that hinge didnt look as good as it does, because you have a 361,it would have been ok.All kidding aside ,its great when a felling plan goes well, especially when it isnt a simple job.Nice going.
