I dont know, I've thought about putting a piston from a Stihl 038 in my Jonsered 670 a few times.

The bore stroke and wrist pin height must be the same for the piston to fit, I'd think that the same thing is true for cylinders too.

The bore stroke and wrist pin height is the same as far as i can tell, The metal itself on top of cylinder is a bit wider proberbly for more cooling, i will try tomorrow.

Let us all know how it goes.
I am just a bit confused though, are you swapping a cylinder and piston from a stihl and a husky?

I mean too put cylinder from Husqvarna262, too Husqvarna154
I am tot so good at Us teknikal terms, but i think you understand.

I don't know the answer to the question and I guess neither does Old saw addict, but there was nothing confusing about your original post. It was straight forward and written in intelligible English. Don't let his problems doubt your command of the language.

I was a little confuesed because the first post, if you look at it, it says "Husqvarna260 on a body Husqvarna154."
Now I dont recall Husky ever making a model 260, a 262, I do recall, but not the 260 which is a current Stihl model and therefore made me think the question was referring to a Stihl and Husky parts interchangeability thing. I had good reason to be confused. After he said 262 all became clear to me.

Sorry abaut the number error, i tryed, and failed too get it to run.
When it ignites it spits out alot of fuel/air mix.
Maby the cylinder is too big for engin block, Will try again in the morning.

Mange:) :D

Tryed again today, but could not get tht little devil to run propely,
So i tryed to fix the old (Husqvarna154) cylinder.
This workd better.
Now I can add one Husqvarna 154sg To the list.
