When removing a large double stalk uprooted oak tree the tree split into two one stalk landed on the upper boom crushing the fiberglass is this repairable any ideas what to do?

Any pictures? What type of boom do you have? I would definetly get it checked out if you have any doubt.

Yeah thats enough damage to definetly get it checked out! Im sure it's fixable, most things are. But yea like they said get ready for a big price. The front control cover for my LR3 was $300.00, and its a very small cover. Hopefully nobody was in the bucket, that could have been ugly.Keep that in mind when you pay for the repair, beats paying for a funeral!

My guess is it was cradled, other wise the boom drift would have absorbed alot of that hit.

Your right I'd have to guess that two. Because being used Ivr seen guys at Bartlett hit them Ariel of conn pretty hard. One was even hit by a car guy was boomed down over the center of the road getting Xmas lights and the car hit it pretty good. Took it in for testing and they said it was good.

If it was me I would before you let it go turn it in to the insurance company it's worth the deductible and anything they hit you with next year , that could easily be a double digit repair , and who knows to crush that boom like that you may have other hidden damage , it's better to let insurance handle it . They may total that truck .
