My dad passed away some years ago and every once in awhile, I notice the old David Bradley he purchased from Sears Roebuck (I was 12) back in '64 to clean up after Hurricane Dora hit Jacksonville. It's been sitting for years and has probabaly collected more spider webs than it has sawdust. That thing's as big as a Volkswagon but probabaly doesn't have a bar more than 16 inches...one of these days, I might drag it out and see what it will take to get it running...anyone know what an old saw like this is worth or is it worth having?

David bradleys are a relatively common saw to find, though the geardrives are what I like. if you can, find some pictures, and theres a few collectors here that may offer their opinions on it. since it was your dads saw, Id suppose its got sentimental value, which is far more than any other value I can put on anything. probably, clean it up some, put a little oil in the cylinder to free stuff up a bit, clean the points good, and rebuild the carb and I bet it'll run.

Hi Loggerhead,

The ones I notice on eBay range from $10 - $75 dollars with some exceptions from time to time. There are several different models with various engine sizes. My dad's still runs, even though it needs a bar and chain. I wouldn't dream of selling it.

Thanks guys, I appreciate your feedabc. I might just pull it out sometime after the first of the year and see if I can get it running and how it cuts.
