Dawn Redwood Mantle

Trimmed and planed this slab I milled a couple years ago. A friend is makeing the mantle for his daughters new house.

Looks amazing. I was tempted to plant that species in my back and figured they grow fast enough I maybe could be milling them as an old man lol.

my neighbor next door has a 2 foot dia. dawn redwood. it was planted in early 60,s. nice looking tree.
