You got a whole slug of new gear! Good quality stuff except for mebbe the 3/8" 'lowering line'. Is that rope anything special like Amsteel, black widow, or at least Stable Braid? It could be a $20 cheapo or a $200 high end rope. Just from the pic it looks like bigger than 3/8". A 'good deal' kind of depends on that.

Someone on your team is gonna love the MarBar system.

Yeah, looks like a good deal, congrats. Looks like 5/8 stable braid. My max bid was around 600.

I think you got a good deal. The only thing that seems a little off with me is this... "Most of this gear is brand new and what is used is hardly used not even signs of wear." Some of those blocks, slings and the PW look like they have seen more than a day or two of use.

It is 5/8" Stable Braid, The 2 big blocks look used 2 of the stainless pulleys are still in the packages. Anybody have an Idea of what Brand the Hooks are?

Hmmmmm How would you figure that? The Mars Bar is 360.00 I totalled up The list he sent me With the sherrill catalog at 2200.00

Figure just the rope in the bag is $200. The slings I would either junk, or use them for something where if they snap nothing is going to get busted up. The friction saver I would do the same thing with. Besides those couple of things it looks Ok, but the PW, and the 2 lowering blocks aren't close to brand new, that's for sure.

What is that bluish, green stuff on the Port-Wrap. I don't think it is paint, looks like it has been sitting around for awhile. I don't know weather you got a good deal or not, if the gear checks out and you feel it is safe to use and feel you would put most of that gear to work, then I would say you got a deal. If you have to throw half of it out because it is not safe then you didn't get a deal. Keep us updated after it comes in and you get a chance to look at the gear.

I'm not trying to be a downer, I'm just a skeptic when it comes to auctions and buying anything used, had more bad deals than good ones, lot of them start out good and get worse later on, then I kick myself a good one in the rear. Congrats on your purchase, though

Okay My Gear Arrived today. The Rope was a misprint it is a 150' of 3/4" Stable braid.
The Mars-bar is New and i cannot find any signs of wear on it. there are 2 new 16000lb CMI Single pulleys and 2 New 25000 lb CMI Double pulleys. 1 of the Saddles is a weaver Model 1035 With no wear i can see. THe saddle had a New 16 Strand flip line Combo. The 2 wall pulleys and the porta wrap in the Photo's have been painted for ID Purposes. 1 New in the Bag Micrograb. 1 new Rope walker. 3 micro pulleys. New saw lanyard 4 new aluminum Petzl dL Biners with the tags still on them. 1 new Eye & eye split tail. Various other Items. Only 2 things unusable is a eye & eye Split tail and a Sling. O Also included was 2 new Cobra tree cables.

The buckingham saddle and buckingham Spikes will be going back on ebay Cuz i dont care for them. All in all im Thrilled!!!!!!!!!!!
