If I spray my chain down with degreaser to remove all of the oil doesn't it just make the chain so its no longer properly lubricated? Out here, I'm mostly cutting Alder. I don't cut much fir so I've never had a pitch problem. Where am I off on this?

I had one yesterday - guy walks in with a brand new MS 260.. "POS only ran for 1 tank of gas".

Ha! Never a truer word spoken!

Dismantle the carb, flush everything, new fuel filter.. and it now works like a saw should on it's second tank.

Yes, I did the same thing a long time ago. Caught it just it time... (before I ran it) but it wasn't happy for a few tanks afterwards.

I caught it almost as soon as I started pouring, dumped the tank instantly and refilled. Still had one H... of a time starting it next time out.
