You do not have to go through a Rayco dealer. Just locate the nearest authorized Deutz engine sales and service dealer, and got directly to them.
The idea about it sucking in oil is probably not correct. Unless, your engine seems to be using a lot of oil.
I have a 60HP Deutz on my new Carlton 7015.. It runs rough and blows smoke if you rev it up real quickly, or if it is bouncing along on rough ground. I find it smooths out as soon as you get to grinding and put a load on the engine. I also have found out if you rev it up slowly, it is less prone to run rough. Carlton says it is normal, and is due to some sensor that is associated with the turbo and emissions control. I have not yet called my Deutz dealer to verify this, but I am not really worried as i have lots of warranty time/hours remaining.
