I was trying to get the sprocket off this Dewalt 12 inch 20 volt. Is it reverse threads???There is that 11 mm bolt holding a washer on over the sprocket.Anyone else try to replace the sprocket on these with a better floating sprocket ?
Also I have enjoyed using this electric saw for cutting brush and cutting up firewood logs that I take out of the woods in 8 ft lengths.
But its not meant for heavy duty use like that in the long run. But I am sold on electric 20v-30v for smaller woodcutting chores. I just like it. What is available right now in electric that could run a 14 inch bar, has a good floating sprocket and runs smaller chain filed by 3/16 files?I see the Stihl 220 C-B and it looks very promising but WAY overpriced...no surprise....what is comparable and has a replaceable standard floating sprocket...?
