I purchased a DHT 22 ton splitter a few weeks ago. It was already assembled at Lowes. It ran fine until Friday and then I noticed a small leak of hydrolic fluid from the valve. I call DHT and they were very helpful in giving me instructions on how to fix the problem. Even though I temporarily made the issue worse DHT offered to send me spare parts. The problem is not due to design or materials. But they were still willing to do what they could to satisfy a customer. Thank you to their customer service department.
PS I love the splitter

It is great to hear the good news once in a while. To all those who keep it positive.
And to those companies that actually have customer service, and not just a phone number. (Wait...did I just slide down that slippery slope?)
 
Because of customer reviews like this is why I decided to replace the splitter I had with a DHT. Gave it a test run on a couple of carts full of box elder, elm, and a little oak. No leaks and it did better than I thought. Most all the wood was over 45% wet. I'm not meticulous but I tend to take care of my stuff and my old splitter left me stranded more than once. I just picked up one of these from Lowe's yesterday myself. Lowes was clueless on ETA once they missed their estimated arrival date by 3 days, so I called DHT and they gave me the tracking number. The guy I spoke with (Brad) gave me his extension and asked me to call him back personally if I had any issues with the splitter once it arrived. I haven't even started it up yet but I am very impressed with the DHT's customer service, as well.
 
They are top notch best splitter I had my 22ton will split through anything even nasty noted up logs I called them.up once to order an part and they threw in a free hydro filter. Can't ask for anything more from them
