Does anyone here own an american splitter with the end tray? I want to build one for a 24HH, but would like to see a pic and have some dimensions to work off of. Does the tray detach or pivot up to allow for towing? Thanks.

I can get you specs later, splitter is not at home today. No it does pivot, it is recomended to be removed for towing. Makes the unit very tongue light. --Forgot mines reverse tow!

Thanks for the info, I think I'm going to try and build a tray that will fold and lock up out of the way since I have a standard tow and short tongue. My buddy and I just picked up this splitter yesterday. It's 5 years old and looks like it's never been used. The seller said he ran about a cord of wood through it. What a rugged looking unit, seems to be very well built. If anyone else has built a tray for their splitter, please post pictures.

I could see how the reverse tow would be nice, but beggars can't be choosers. I'm pretty sure we couldn't have picked up a Walmart splitter for the price of this one.
