do old asplundh drum style chippers come with a title usually?

This guy is trying to tell me chippers don't come with titles... it's a fitchburg, an older drum asplundh chuck n duck.

Sounds fishy to me, just wanted some input on this. I know the big chippers at my work have titles...

they dont i bought one new in 1980 did not come with one but the new ones do

As old as it prob is i can see why it dont have one.Just make sure you get a receipt and can prove where it came from.

Depends on the state. Ohio doesn't require a title but requires the towing vehicle to be commercially licensed.

As I understand it, no, you don't get a title. It is considered a piece of equipment not a trailer. You should get a bill of sale with the model and serial on it and you will be fine. This applies to anything that it is not required to get a tag, in other words, tag=title, no tag=bill of sale.
