Trying to figure out what year either of these saws are from. I am looking for older saws and cam across these but dont know anything about them. One is an Eager Beaver and the other is a Ward. Do you know who made them?

Whats the model # on the Wards saw? they used a 130+cc West bend on their big saw. It is the same motor Jerry is using on his scratch built mill and it's is every bit as much a monster saw as an 090.

The WARDS saw I have is a Model 82010 that uses a 134cc West Bend motor. Another model they has was the Model 61010 and it used a 100cc motor. They are a cream/gold color scheme.

Here is what mine looks like. It's the Model 82010

Either one would make a good saw for milling. Plenty of HP and torque. Parts are easy to get for the 820 model except clutch drums. If you have a drum, treat it like it's made of gold. If it's worn, it can be adapted with an Oregon Power Mate Sprocket System by someone who can silver braze using a mandrel to align the pieces. I have one on my Wards saw and on my mill.

Glad you like the saw. I just used it this past week cutting up a Black Oak tree that broke off a 28" limb. So my 30" bar just made it. My friend timed the cut on the log and it cut the 28" piece in just about a minute. It has plenty of HP. Lot of fun!
