Dolmar 540

Anybody have any idea what a blue 540 is worth? I had a guy offer to sell me one.. I want to discuss dollars with him.. But his PM box is full.. I have ran the saw.. I really liked the way it felt.

Hard to say for sure. They're about $300 new, so reduce the price for wear and increase price for porting.

I had a chance to but one a few years back Canadian tire wanted 279.99 for it and yes that is another one I keep kicking myself about!I did'nt know what it was, really I did'nt!

Now that you know how much a new one is worth, you can consider that and figure out what it is worth to you. If you will pay it, it was worth it to you, right? I have only ran 1 Sachs Dolmar on a blockdown once and it kinda reminded me of a stihl with a little less punch, not a bad saw though.

I think the price I listed was a clear out that would only be 230.00 us dollars. But my dad said dolmars were the best! being German he was biased!But I am not that's why I like Swedish saw's and old American muscle. I know Stihl's are German.

The 540 is an old design, and a downrated version of the original one (Dolmar115), in spite of more ccs.......

But it has been modded a bit.

Runs pretty sweet.. Probably out cut my 361. LOL
