Wondering if anyone has any history with using a Dolmar Chain Saw, if so, how do they rate?
Thanks!

Other than having less dealer locations than others, they are great saws. Many people absolutely rave about the 5100 and 7900

If you did a search down in the chainsaw forum you would find plenty of info about Dolmars.I LOVE my 5100 and have a 7900 on my wish list.

Strongest 70 to 80 cc saw out of the box on the market today. If you have a local dealer with a supply of parts it would a great every day money making saw for a logger.
I have a 5100 and 7900 and have enjoyed both of them but only have a limited amount of time on each. I do know a fella that has 800,000 bdft on one and its still running strong.

Due to the lack of dealers I dont think there are a whole lot out there in full time logging use. However the few that I have read about in loggers hands have had pretty good reviews, i.e. they have had about the same amount of issues as comparably sized Husky or Stihl saws.

Finding a good dealer is the problem, especially now that the saws cannot be sold online
