I have a Dolmar CT that is complete but needs new oil and fuel lines running. The air filter shroud is also cracked.

I have always planned on fixing it up and selling it as a working saw but someone on here with an incomplete CT is looking for a rear handle (the bit you stand on when starting a saw) to make their saw 100%. He’s asked if I can help.

I don’t really want to break the saw for parts, but if I am going to think about it I need to know how many people there are out there that need CT parts.

So, does anybody need a CT part, and if so what?

It’s not so much about maximising income from the saw, I mainly don’t want to break the saw just to send out 3 or 4 parts and be stuck with a then useless pile of bits.

TIA

Its a difficult decision for older rare saws that I have been involved in many times, have a good many sort of rare saws that I get asked the same question, many times its suggested I take a complete saw and take a part off for someone. So far I won`t do that as I would be stuck with a partial saw that is difficult to find parts for, if they want the part bad enough I would sell the complete saw but that has never happened yet. Just my ramblings but to be blunt, no to selling a part or two off a complete older saw, newer stuff no problem, parts are a dime a dozen.

That’s how it’s looking tbf...I’d like to help out but I’m sure eventually a breaker CT will come along

I have a CT that i need parts for...
Actually in reality i have parts that need a CT.The one i have must of got run over by something and it all welded up,but looks low hour.At the minimum i would be interested in the muffler.I will try to remember to look at it at work tomorrow and see what else i could use.

I’m not going to break it...everything I need (fuel and oil lines) will be easy to source (non oem though) to get her running again.
Parts for the CT's are extinct. If you brake your saw up It will be much harder to sell.
I'd be interested in it if you decide to sell complete.
Did you see the one I sold on eBay a month or so ago? It went back to Germany and cost the winning bidder £820 plus shipping :dizzy:. It was on stunning condition tho

Yep don't part it out. I got dibs on a dolmar 133 that a screw came out of the oil pump and got the pump. I just got it running and testing it and wham it sounded like a bomb going off. Took me awhile to get the clutch off had to make a puller and it was just a taper fit
So looking for a pump the case is good. Don't part it out is where I'm going. The ct runs 404 right?
