Tony...ummm...up here in God's country we have to go through Makita....I dont know about down there..but if its parts you are looking for..let me know

Local Dolmar dealer get's his stuff from Makita USA. They're in Texas, I believe.
Story is that makita is a little tough to deal with, unless local dealers are willing to place large orders, become service centers for everything blue. Some local dealers aren't too happy near me, and are more than willing to steer you to something else.

Makita-Dolmar?
I just got the 2002 Makita catalog. No chainaws listed at all. Does this mean no more Dolmar parts or support?

Nah, I think it's a marketing thing. Some of makita's chainsaws have been showing up in odd places recently, leading me to believe that they had some model changes going on.
Maybe no more blue ones. I'm sure old-line Dolmar/sachs dealers are not going to complain.
