In this weather we need all the air flow we can get. (if you have a forced air system obviously) Mine were a little "restricted".

That's what should happen, but we are all busy and some times it gets forgotten. You don't notice a gradual decrease in air flow from the registers and wonder why the house isn't up to temp on a cold day like today. You start re-engineering your entire heating system and forget about the simple stuff. Mine wasn't that bad this time but I have had it make a huge difference.

I did forget the one at work all summer with the A/C on and it went through the winter before. Needless to say it looked like mud was thrown at it!!! Yuk!! It sure did make a difference in air flow....no kidding!!! The filters are sitting in my office now so I almost trip over them.

New heating system in Bemidji court house....wasn't needed!

In 1985 I got a job working with a heating/AC company. They had a contract to replace the malfunctioning HVAC system in the Bemidji MN court house. The lead guy that I was working with started tearing the old system out. He got the the ducts by the filters. When he pulled the filters the air just about knocked him off of the ladder. A heat pump system was installed. I heard that it's not working very well! So much for improvements!

The system was fine. The maintenance was poor!
