Looking at 2300 Central Boiler and dealer has a dual fuel propane and wood and wondering if it has any benefit over wood only, besides the obvious of it running on propane instead of refueling with wood if a person was going to be gone?

When I bought our OWB 2 years ago I was looking at the dual fuel ones from central boiler and it was like 3 grand for the propane head plus the cost of the OWB. I questioned the dealer about how efficient they were because he had one but he just bypassed an answer. I ended up with a Woodmaster and we installed a new energy efficient furnace and pocketed the extra money the the dual fuel stove would have cost.

as much wood as the suck....it would suck alot of propane.....i would say 500 to 800 gallons a month with just the burner on:jawdrop:
