I can't find the discussion I was reading a while back. Some people were talking about not using a chipper; instead pulling a dump trailer with a grapple on it. Sounds like a great idea, but can't find info on this type of trailer.
If you do use this method, could you talk about the pros and cons.

Pros insurance and tag fees cons load handling and maneuvering.
I would have bought one instead of my grapple truck if they were
what I wanted. Instead they are built for logs. I mean they should
be mounted to a dump trailer with dual tandems instead of the pipe
construction but check Bailey's out they have some on there and are
a sponsor of this site. I think they can sell you the grapple and powersupply
separate so you can custom build a trailer setup the way I mention.
I would like to see them building a setup like I mentioned for a reasonable
price. It seems sometimes everything is built shy of what is needed. Also remember if you are serious you will need a good
pull truck and trailer brakes. A cdl is also required in some cases.

Check out the website for Blue Ox trailers. They make exactly what you are looking for. I have wanted one for several years, but, do not yet have enough work to justify one.
