How well is the one feed wheel doing ? I'm used to two or more feed wheels . What kind of down pressure system does the chipper have ? Winch option ? Looks comparable to my bandit 250 , what kind of maintinence issues ?

Having had both types, I like the single feed wheel much better. The Woodsmans and the big Morbarks all have single feedwheels. A big feedwheel is like a big tire....it will climb over things much easier than a small wheel. Down pressure on the DC50 can be exerted hydraulicly if needed. Winch option is available. Maintenance is similar to most chippers, same type clutch, grease fittings and I know blade changing on the DC series is way faster than changing blades on a Bandit disc.

Disclaimer: I am the Dynamic dealer for the state of Hawaii, but all of the above are facts, not bs.

That thing was throwing the chips far. Even the lighter stuff had a lot of velocity. Have you received your dynamic yet Koa?
There were doing a demo in my area and were suppossed to call me. I was doing a land clear and could have really put the machine through the paces along side my Woodsman 15X. I talked to them the week before they came and gave them all of my contact info. I made sure I had plenty of stuff to test it with...........they never called, demo'ed 15 miles from where I was working and didn't let me know. I called them a few days later to see what the delay was and the guy was indifferent. I guess they don't need to sell anymore chippers in my area...........The new Woodsman dealer in my area says he can have any machine I want for a demo in 3 days. I really like the Woodsman but I'm willing to give anyone a chance.........You're only on top for as long as your hungry........I'm always looking for something that works a little better, a little easier, a little more efficient. When salesman blow me off it sits in my craw.

I received my DC50 about 3 weeks ago. Sorry they did not come through for you on the demo. I placed an order for a DC55 last week. That one should come off the production line in early January. I am pretty sure I got that one already sold. Email me if you want a Dynamic....I can help you out if there is no established dealer in your area.

I have a dvd showing the various Dynamic chippers in action. I have to figure out how to get it to you.

How many machines of this model are there working out there in the real world ,also how many machines does the company build/sell a year ??

I don't know how many of the DC series of chippers are out there at this time, but I can find out tomorrow. Dynamic builds about 200 machines a year, they are a small company, just a few years old, but the engineers and management have decades of experience in the chipper industry.

BTW, I did run my DC50 chipping coconut fronds and other coconut debris. Chipped it up no problem and discharged it very well. The chips were not as fine as my old Gravely 395, but no chipper I came across ever chipped as fine as that machine. It did chip it about 50% finer than my Woodsman 18X, but the 18X is about 2.5 times as fast. Of course, it is NOT a fair comparison, since the 18X is an 18" machine and I have modified the feed roller on it to run twice as fast as factory. I have been running it this way for about 6 months now....runs about 160 fpm. My 18X easily outchips my friend's 18X and he has the same 200 hp Cummins, but the unmodified feed roller speed. The DC50 runs at 100 fpm and mine has the 115 hp Perkins.

Dynamic saw my post and contacted me. Apparently the salesman dropped the ball. They offered to bring me down a machine to demo within a couple of days. I declined because I won't be in the market for an additional chipper until spring. I don't want them to waste a trip if I'm not serious about purchasing. I will run one in the spring and let you know how I like it. I would like to get an 18" machine. The extra capacity would be nice on large removals and land clearing.
