Start taking them down before the crowns start dying, and salvage what you can for lumber/firewood.

They are dam scary to drop once dead if they are in the woods/canopy. That damm bug decimated the ash here. I wish I'd logged out most of the ash years ago.
Fortunately, most ash aren't native to Texas, so it won't be quite as devastating here.
 
What makes ash so tasty to the eab? Is there any magic "stuff" to feed the tree that would make the ash less hospitable? In other words, why isn't the eab in other species? What is about the other trees the eab doesn't like?
