Eastern cedar (Juniperus virginiana) aromatic cedar

Here we just call it cedar. This is some of the first stuff ive milled that wasent pine. i thought id take a few pictures and put them on here for anyone to see i have my chain filed at 10 degrees and the drags nocked down quite a bit more than i would running a normal cutting chain. This is a later model 066 magnum with a 28 or 36 inch bar depending on the pictures and i just sqitched it to a 7 tooth sprocket from an 8 tooth sprocket man what a world of diffrence this made it was like running a whole new saw with that sprocket on it.

Looking good , i run an aux oiler with used peanut oil in it dripping lighty on the tip of the bar. But my 660s oiler is only half way up , stihl oil is expensive and iam tight. Mill some more pine for stickers . Also Welcome to AS

I love milling cedar (well, compared to Osage orange, anyway). Sawdust smells good, and it is easy on the chain. Here's how I stack it for drying.
